This ADK home has such a presence many guests refer to it as the “Mansion.”  This impressive Olympic House is all about comfort, style and LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Everyone boasts a ‘short walk’ to town, but the Olympic House sits directly on Main Street of Lake Placid Village!  Nestled within a grove of tall pines, birches, and cedar trees, it has a private feeling, yet you are just steps away from this famous village and a stone’s throw away from beautiful Mirror Lake.

The Olympic House features a lounge with a beautiful, solid wood, carved bar backed by a 70-inch flat screen TV and comfortable overstuffed furniture where you can relax, enjoy a beverage, or just snuggle up and read a book. The adjacent living room offers an authentic brick ADK gas fireplace to keep you cozy when the Adirondack evenings turn chilly.  The large dining room easily seats ten with a place setting for sixteen, so you can comfortably accommodate your group at mealtimes.  The modern kitchen is equipped with brand new dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, and microwave. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need to enjoy your stay to include pots, pans, utensils, glassware, coffeemaker, blender, toaster, and more. The breakfast area with windows is perfect for morning conversations over coffee. The kitchen has a second, back stairway that will take you to the second-floor bedrooms and one more flight takes you to the third-floor game room complete with a mini fridge, large flat screen TV, foosball table and comfy large leather sofa and love seat.  On the same floor, there is a modern, full bathroom and a bedroom with two twin pillow top beds.

This historic and beautiful Olympic House features a total of seven bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. The first six bedrooms include two kings, two queens, one full with two twin bunk beds (one with a full bottom bunk). The seventh bedroom is on the third floor, as mentioned above. All the bedding is high thread count cotton and all beds have cozy pillow tops to provide you with luxurious and comfortable sleeping accommodations.  There are deep closets with extra blankets and pillows in every bedroom.  There are fans and air conditioners in every bedroom as well.

The bathrooms are all well equipped with soft plush towels and new showers.  For your convenience, there are hair dryers in all the bathrooms.  The original pedestal sinks and faucets have been left for historic appeal, as well as an original claw foot tub with adapted shower. Brand new toilets and showers have been installed along with tiled floors. This home has a full-sized washer and dryer for your convenience. There is plenty of space for storage as well.

From the grand front porch, you and your family will have a front row seat to the village of Lake Placid, where you can watch parades, marathons, and town events.  Of course, picturesque Mirror Lake and the ADK High Peak Mountains are directly in front of you for your viewing pleasure as well. For your outside enjoyment, there is a four burner Weber grill with a full tank of gas along with tables and plenty of porch seating. The yard features an outdoor ping pong table, a volleyball net, and a brand new 6-8 person hot tub! There is also a two-car garage and a large driveway that provides ample parking for up to six vehicles.  During the summer we have three bike racks (will hold four bikes each) for those cycling enthusiasts.

The downstairs game room is complete with foosball, ping pong table, TV, children’s/young adult book collection, puzzles and games galore, comfortable leather sofas, reclining reading chair and views of the Olympic Village Mirror Lake and the Adirondack Mountains including Whiteface.
The owners are local and happy to always help and provide local knowledge. We pride ourselves in hosting many repeat guests year after year. We are a family-run business and are on a first-name basis with many of our returning guests.

Unfortunately, we are unable to allow pets at the Olympic House. Please inquire about our other pet-friendly luxury vacation home nearby.
Per property and casualty insurance and local zoning and code recommendations, security cameras are above exit doors only.  These are in plain sight and can be disabled by the guest’s request upon check in. There is absolutely no camera or monitoring of any kind inside this home.
